You know the ones. The ones you make again and again. The ones you rely on when you’re not in the mood to try something new. The ones that always come out perfect.
I’ll start, even though I rarely use recipes.* All are gift links, of course

Good news for you: only one actual recipe in this thread so far. And you don’t have to read anything you don’t want to read, of course. We’re all adults here
Shrimp Cocktail using Ina Garten’s recipe for roasting the shrimp and I love her cocktail sauce recipe … I use good quality refrigerated horseradish. I never get tired of this and it’s better than what I’ve been served in restaurants.
I bet if there are specific dishes in this thread you are interested in, you could ask. I am sure the posters would be delighted to share them with you.
How can one choose just one?
My mother’s take on grandpa’s wiener schnitzel: It isn’t breaded, but battered (milk, eggs, flour, parmesan, fresh nutmeg and parsley) gently fried with lots of butter and lemon butter poured over.
Canlis’ scampi: prawns, butter, lemon, dried vermouth, garlic and salt.
Opera cake for dessert. Too many ingredients to list.
