What are your favorite recipes of all time?

You know the ones. The ones you make again and again. The ones you rely on when you’re not in the mood to try something new. The ones that always come out perfect.

I’ll start, even though I rarely use recipes.* All are gift links, of course

That lasagna is a work of art  (and a labor of love, from the looks of it :grimacing:).

Take A LOT of time and energy. My very favorite meal.

That’s why I delegate lasagna-making to my sous

It’d be much easier if two people were making this dish.

Best to make sauce the day before, get that out of the way. Sauce not hard, just takes time.

I am not reading RECIPES!

Good news for you: only one actual recipe in this thread so far. And you don’t have to read anything you don’t want to read, of course. We’re all adults here

Shrimp Cocktail using Ina Garten’s recipe for roasting the shrimp and I love her cocktail sauce recipe … I use good quality refrigerated horseradish. I never get tired of this and it’s better than what I’ve been served in restaurants.

I would like to see some recipes, please.

I thought this was about recipes.

I misunderstood your initial comment - my bad.

I bet if there are specific dishes in this thread you are interested in, you could ask. I am sure the posters would be delighted to share them with you.

How can one choose just one?
My mother’s take on grandpa’s wiener schnitzel: It isn’t breaded, but battered (milk, eggs, flour, parmesan, fresh nutmeg and parsley) gently fried with lots of butter and lemon butter poured over.
Canlis’ scampi: prawns, butter, lemon, dried vermouth, garlic and salt.
Opera cake for dessert. Too many ingredients to list.

Just noticed: Everyone with their phones … I never bring a phone to the dinner table. Just so wrong.

There’s no limit to the recipes you want to share.

Yah but who’s going to take the picture to post here?

Just snap a photo at beginning, put phone AWAY. Not have many phones on the table, some people scrolling away.
