Hi Everyone! Our small family is back together again, and now looking toward the fall and Lulu’s departure to college with excitement, nerves, and wistfulness. I focused on family favorites for our first full week at home together since mid June.
Mon: za’atar chicken with fattoush (Nigella)
Tues: broccoli and sausage rigatoni
Wed: suddenly felt sick, spent the afternoon and evening in bed; pizza was ordered
Thurs: Asian fried shrimp sandwiches (I use frozen popcorn shrimp, which makes this a walk in the park. Really delicious too: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1022293-salt-and-pepper-shrimp-rolls?algo=identity&fellback=true&imp_id=1342584543655247&req_id=8461671451907755&surface=cooking-search-web&variant=0_relevance_reranking), Vietnamese slaw
Fri: Soyrizo and black bean stew (basically chili) with tortilla chips
Sat: ordered from the local Sichuan restaurant.
Sun: LLD supposed to cook, but he’s out on a long bike ride, so we’ll cut him a break and do carry out again if he comes home too bushed.
Hope everyone is able to stay cool, and that Debbie doesn’t wreck any plans. Have a wonderful week!
