Cataract surgery - cooking

Thank you, and thanks to everyone. I wasn’t trying to whine, I was just general puzzled and it’s my coping habit to overprepare for a situation. Including overstocking my kitchen.

I’m going to go stock up on a bunch of single serve Haagen Dazs. Calcium has to be good for healing, right?

I had both eyes done, separately, in the same month, can’t remember any restrictions.

I had to use two different Rx eye drops around the clock, more intensive at first.

I made a chart for when to do which one when. I don’t know how anyone could have done the schedule without a chart to check off.

Surgeon inserted lenses, I have 20/20 vision now.

I agree. I made a chart when my mother had hers done. It was so complicated that I can’t imagine most people do it correctly. You’d think someone would distribute a chart with the meds.

When I had to take a zillion meds post surgery, I set alarms on my phone, each with the name of the pill I was supposed to take at that time. It worked quite well.

Even if the doctor handed out a chart like I made up I wonder if the majority could follow it. BUT, they should do this!! I’m very alert, careful so I followed it exactly.

They do exist! I should have googled this.

Wow, I never heard of this, wonder if it existed when I had my surgeries.

Exactly what I plan to do. I’ve done a chart when I’ve had to do multiple meds on a schedule before. Oh, and they rescheduled my surgery for July. Don’t.Even.Ask.

Update?

Had my first one done last Tuesday, second one scheduled for this Tuesday. Wasn’t really interested in eating, just wanted to sleep. Went back next day; surgeon said it looked good. Imma name him Dr. Mansplainer. But not until he’s finished. …
